A lady has sparked massive conversations across social media after boldly claiming that women who work in certain professions are more likely to cheat on their partners. Her statement, made in a trending video, has triggered a wave of reactions, debates, and criticisms from thousands of users online.
In the viral clip, she cautioned men to be extra careful, insisting that if their girlfriends fall into any of the five professions she listed, there is a strong likelihood they may be unfaithful. Her message, delivered with confidence, quickly gained traction and stirred controversy.
She wrote: “If your girlfriend is doing any of these jobs she’ll surely cheat on you.” The remark drew immediate attention, with many questioning her basis for making such a sweeping statement.
The jobs she mentioned include nurse, cloth vendor, teacher, air hostess, and secretary. According to her, these professions apparently expose women to situations that can encourage cheating—a claim many people have disagreed with.
Her post exploded across social platforms, leading to mixed reactions. While some users took the statement humorously, others strongly opposed it.
Ladi’s Pater reacted playfully, saying: “Guy wey 😂 their babe fall into this category eye go first blur. You better check her phone today make everything blur finish 😂” His comment suggested that some men might panic after hearing the claim.
SOE added to the conversation by listing even more professions he believes could fit into the lady’s argument. He wrote: “Forgot to add hotel receptionist, ushering jobs, food vendor, banker, personal assistant. In fact, any job your gf is doing is a potential cheating avenue.” His response widened the debate and added more controversy to the topic.
On the other hand, many criticized the lady for generalizing and spreading stereotypes. Toba argued: “She’s speaking from experience. Maybe she has cheated so many times.” Chibuike also expressed frustration, asking: “When Una go just get sense talk about reasonable thing wey go help person aside cheating and relationship?”
Some commenters addressed the lady directly. Alba Juan challenged her perspective, saying: “So which work are you doing for living that makes you exempted from those wives that cheat? I can see that you are married too…” His comment suggested that no profession is automatically immune to infidelity.
Ifex Baba emphasized individuality over stereotypes, stating: “Saying ‘she’ll surely cheat’ because of her job is a wild generalization. People are individuals, not stereotypes.”
Wicked Boi took a broader stance, noting that cheating is not determined by employment status. He said: “Even jobless ladies cheat. Just pray you meet the one without that mindset to cheat, though it’s hard to find these days.”
The video continues to fuel ongoing discussions online, with many Nigerians weighing in based on personal experiences, opinions on relationships, and thoughts on generalizing women based on their professions.
