A Nigerian lady has been apprehended for allegedly kidnapping 16 children from Bayelsa and transporting them to Port Harcourt in Rivers State, sparking widespread outrage online and raising serious concerns about child trafficking across state lines.
The arrest came to public attention through a video shared on TikTok, which appears to show a group of children being escorted into what is believed to be a police station. In the clip, several minors, presumably the rescued victims, can be seen entering the facility in an orderly manner, with bystanders capturing the moment.
According to the post accompanying the video, the woman was intercepted in an area identified as Ozymba, where the vehicle reportedly broke down, leading to her discovery and subsequent arrest. Itโs believed the incident occurred after she managed to transport the children across various checkpoints from Bayelsa to Port Harcourt, undetected by security operatives.
