A Nigerian lady has set social media abuzz after narrating a deeply shocking and emotional marriage story involving her UK-based brother, a revelation that has left many Nigerians stunned and divided.
In a viral TikTok video shared by a user identified as @sommica, the woman disclosed that her brother met his wife on Instagram while he was living and working in the United Kingdom.
She explained that the two connected online and chatted consistently for about six months before her brother returned to Nigeria, where they eventually met in person for the first time.
According to her, things progressed very quickly after their physical meeting, as within just one month, her brother proposed to the woman and went ahead to marry her.
She further revealed that the woman already had a child from a previous relationship, a situation her brother reportedly accepted without hesitation, fully embracing both mother and child.
Following their wedding, the couple reportedly made plans to relocate to the UK together in order to start their life as a family abroad.
However, due to delays in processing her travel documents, the woman was forced to remain in Owerri while her husband travelled ahead to finalise arrangements.
While he was still abroad, the woman allegedly informed him of her desire to move to Abuja, citing the need for a change of environment.
Despite the fact that she was still schooling in Owerri at the time, the man reportedly agreed to the move, continued sending her money regularly, fully supported her child, and even went as far as opening a shop for her.
The lady claimed that problems began when the woman secretly invited her secondary school ex-boyfriend to Abuja.
The ex-boyfriend, who was described as a known errand runner in Owerri, was allegedly being flown in and out of Abuja, showered with gifts, and financially supported by the married woman.
The affair reportedly came to light when the ex-boyfriend openly bragged during a gathering, claiming that his ex-girlfriend was sponsoring his lifestyle.
He allegedly backed up his claims by showing photos and videos, which eventually reached the husband.
When confronted over the phone, the woman reportedly admitted to everything without denial.
Her husband was said to have instructed her to pack out of the house before his return to Nigeria.
Instead of complying, she allegedly sold off household items and vanished with the ex-boyfriend, leaving her husband devastated.
The story has since triggered heavy reactions on social media, with many users describing it as a painful lesson about trust, rushing into marriage, and loving without caution.
