A pastor has publicly condemned men who deliberately delay or refuse to marry, stressing that their inaction is driving Christian women to enter into unions outside their faith. The cleric highlighted that this trend is not only affecting individual relationships but also poses serious challenges for the church, the upbringing of children, and the spiritual wellbeing of future generations.

Men’s refusal to marry impacting Christian women

During a recent sermon, the pastor addressed the consequences of men’s hesitation to commit to marriage. She said: “I realized that your counterpart, they’re marrying. And guess who they are getting married to? The Christian girls! Why? Because you men do not want to marry. So should the girls kill themselves? It has to be said. If lesbianism were a Christian concept, men, you would not see wives.”

She expressed deep concern about the rising number of interfaith marriages, emphasizing that such unions can significantly influence the religious orientation of children and families. “These men are coming from outside to marry them. That’s why you’ll hear Christian girls saying things like, ‘he’s very nice.’ This is happening because men refuse to step up. Some girls even plan to divorce after having children. You do not understand the damage that has been done because you choose to sit there until you die. You think you are the provider of the home. But there were girls before you came; were they not surviving?” she added.

Pastor warns on consequences for families, children, and the church

The pastor further underscored the spiritual responsibility of Christian men, urging them to honour marriage commitments and actively participate in family life. She cautioned against compromising religious principles for convenience or personal comfort. “What they are doing now is marrying the girls, having children, and Islamizing them. If you are a Christian, we don’t crossbreed in this kingdom. God said it’s not good for a man to be alone—don’t force people to marry,” she explained.

She also emphasized the importance of men taking responsibility in relationships, noting the long-term effects of their inaction on both the church and wider society. “Be fruitful and multiply. Why not? When you say be fruitful and multiply, it’s children. How do you replenish the earth?” she questioned, highlighting marriage as a crucial part of fulfilling God’s plan for humanity.

The sermon serves as a stern call to action for men, urging them to step up, embrace their responsibilities, and contribute positively to the spiritual, social, and familial health of their communities. By doing so, they uphold the values of the church, protect the faith of Christian women, and ensure the proper upbringing of children in godly homes.
