Nigerian woman, 20, arrested in UK for £20K fraud by travel agent

A Nigerian lady has been arrested in the UK after being scammed by her travel agent, who allegedly duped her of £20,000. 

The 20-year-old lady had employed the services of a travel agent to secure a visa for her to study in the UK. The travel agent collected £20,000 from her but did not provide the visa. The lady was arrested by immigration officers at the airport upon arrival in the UK. She has been in detention at the immigration office since then. A UK-based lawyer, who is representing her, has promised to do his best to get her out.
