Man has stirred conversations online after sending his girlfriend ₦35,000 for her Christmas hair while attaching firm and detailed instructions on how the money must be spent.
The exchange, which has since gone viral on social media, shows the man laying out clear conditions for the hairstyle. He instructed his girlfriend to use the money strictly for braiding her hair and ensured that it should be done tightly and neatly.

According to his instructions, the hairstyle must last for several months, as he specified that it should not be loosened until March 1. He emphasized that the hair should be braided in a way that guarantees durability throughout the festive season and beyond.
The man further cautioned his girlfriend against comparing him with other men who allegedly spend between ₦200,000 and ₦500,000 on their partners’ hair. He stated that if she preferred that level of spending, she was free to seek another partner willing to meet those expectations.
Defending his stance, he reminded her of how she styled her hair when they first met, pointing out that she wore simple all-back braids at the time. He argued that the ₦35,000 he sent was already an upgrade and a deliberate effort on his part to “promote” her appearance beyond what she used to wear.
He also made it clear that the money came with conditions and was not meant to spark arguments or comparisons. According to him, appreciation and understanding were expected, not complaints.
The man added that if she was unhappy with the amount or the conditions attached, she should refund the money immediately so he could use it to place a sports betting wager instead.
