A lady has sparked debate on social media after airing her frustrations over heavy traffic caused by IJGBs (I Just Got Back) in Lagos, highlighting the disruptive effects on daily life and routines in the bustling city.

In her post, she expressed deep annoyance at how the sudden influx of returning Nigerians created gridlock across key Lagos roads, making commuting and attending scheduled appointments extremely challenging for residents.

She criticized the visitors for seemingly contributing nothing tangible to the city, questioning the rationale behind blocking roads while arriving empty-handed. “I just got back. What is all this? All the road is blocked. It’s not like you brought money. You came empty handed and still block road. Go back abeg,” she wrote, capturing the frustration of many Lagosians dealing with unexpected congestion.

Big cars, empty pockets

The woman lamented the personal inconvenience caused by the traffic, noting she missed her planned appointments including hair, nails, and lashes. She further expressed hope that her next engagements wouldn’t be affected, emphasizing the ongoing challenges of navigating Lagos during such mass arrivals. She also poked fun at the perceived ostentation of the IJGBs, remarking that they arrived in expensive cars yet lacked any meaningful contribution to the city, urging them to leave. “Carry big big cars come back, empty pockets. Go back,” she added, underscoring the irony of the situation.
