A Nigerian lady who attended The Experience 2025 gospel concert has taken to social media to explain why she has decided she will not be returning for next year’s edition of the event.

The Experience, which is held annually in Lagos, is widely recognized as one of the world’s largest gatherings of Christian worshippers, attracting thousands of attendees from different parts of the country and beyond, alongside renowned gospel ministers and worship leaders from across the globe.

In a TikTok video shared by the netizen identified as @naijawifeylife1, the lady documented moments from the concert, capturing scenes of worshippers repeatedly blowing vuvuzelas throughout the programme.

Lady shares her experience

While she acknowledged the spiritual significance of the event, the woman explained that her personal experience at the concert was largely affected by the constant and loud noise from the vuvuzelas.

According to her, the persistent sound became overwhelming and disrupted her focus during worship, making it difficult for her to fully enjoy or concentrate on the programme.

She noted that the noise went beyond normal excitement expected at a worship concert, describing it as excessive and distracting to the point of discomfort.

As a result of her experience, she stated that she has made up her mind not to attend the 2026 edition of the event if the issue is not addressed.

The lady captioned the video: “The reason why I won’t be attending next year’s “Experience”. The noise was too much and distracting. Gosh! I legit quarrelled with someone because of his insensitive vuvuzuela bllowing. They legit bought this to torment people”

Lady laments loud noises

Taking to the comment section, she further expressed her frustration, stating that it was disappointing that some attendees were unable to differentiate between joyful praise sounds and what she described as nonchalant, unnecessary noise.

She added in the comments: “it’s really appalling that they can’t even differentiate between this non chalant loud noises to the regular and interesting loud sounds that is definitely expected in a church concert. Most of the sounds were intentionally made to provoke and I experienced it with my eyes.”
