The priest, Reverend Father Emmanuel Ehioma, popularly known on Facebook as Fada Mentor, wrote a comprehensive note addressing Harrison directly. In his message, he reflected on the activist’s recent struggles, empathized with the challenges he has faced, and warned him about the reality of people who benefit from his rescue missions without genuinely supporting or appreciating him in return.
Father Emmanuel: Harrison’s Ordeal Will Build Strength
Father Emmanuel began by expressing deep sympathy for Harrison, acknowledging the difficulties the activist is enduring. He described the ordeal as a refining process, emphasizing that challenges in life are meant to strengthen and shape individuals into better, stronger versions of themselves.
He advised Harrison to stay calm, take in the experiences, and view the suffering as a way to cultivate resilience and fortitude. According to the priest, Harrison’s current circumstances are not just hardships, but necessary experiences that will ultimately fortify his character and purpose.
Advises Caution: Quit Risky Rescue Operations or Monetize Them
Father Emmanuel also addressed the risky rescue operations that Harrison frequently undertakes, noting that these missions often lack adequate recognition, protection, or compensation. He cautioned that continuing such dangerous work without safeguards could lead to unnecessary personal harm and disappointment.
In his guidance, he advised that if Harrison chooses to continue conducting rescues after his release, he should begin monetizing his efforts. This includes charging families for his involvement, as well as for the assistance of the police officers and soldiers who accompany him during these operations. Monetization, according to the priest, ensures that Harrison and his team are valued and protected while carrying out these high-risk missions.
Reality Check: Many Don’t Truly Care
Father Emmanuel further emphasized that Harrison’s recent ordeal serves as a stark reminder of the reality that many people he has helped do not genuinely care about him. He warned that people often exploit heroes for their own gain but abandon them when challenges arise, leaving them vulnerable and unsupported.
He advised Harrison to recognize this harsh truth, noting that while people may appear grateful when they benefit from his actions, they may turn against him or ignore him in difficult times. Father Emmanuel encouraged the activist to internalize this lesson and adjust his approach to ensure personal safety and well-being moving forward.
Acknowledges Past Criticism, Expresses Gratitude
While the priest admitted that he had criticized Harrison in the past, he took the opportunity to thank him for his dedication to giving hope to many families through his rescue efforts. Father Emmanuel acknowledged Harrison’s positive impact, highlighting that despite earlier disagreements, he appreciates the courage, sacrifice, and commitment the activist has shown to helping others in desperate situations.
He prayed that the same hope Harrison has given to others would return to him during this trying period, providing comfort, strength, and encouragement as he navigates the consequences of his actions and awaits freedom. Father Emmanuel’s message combined spiritual guidance, practical advice, and heartfelt empathy, reinforcing both moral and strategic considerations for Harrison’s future work.
In his words: “Harrison Gwamnishu brother, I know you are having it rough now courtesy of your past and of course unfortunately that’s what life is all about. Calm down and take it all in, this suffering is meant to purify you and make you a better person. When you come out, because I know you will surely come out, just quit this risk you are taking for ‘world people’ it doesn’t worth it. But if you MUST continue, then you MUST monetize ‘your every move’ and those Police officers and soldiers that you move with. As they are raising money for their kidnapped loved ones, they should also raise funds to pay you and your team even before you leave the comfort of your home. You have realized now that nobody send your papa, they don’t even care about you. They are ready to run you to the ground, even while the remaining victim is going through hell because you were initially their target. You aren’t my friend, we never see one on one before, and in fact I don call you out before when you messed up in the past but that doesn’t stop me from saying THANK YOU for giving people HOPE. I pray this same HOPE be returned to you at this trying time. Stay blessed. Happy Sunday.”
Father Emmanuel’s message serves as both a spiritual encouragement and a practical blueprint, advising Harrison to navigate future challenges with wisdom, caution, and strategic foresight, ensuring that his efforts to help others do not come at the expense of his own safety and well-being.
