Nigerian media personality and entrepreneur Toke Makinwa has once again sparked intense conversations across social media after openly sharing her thoughts on infidelity, relationships, and gender dynamics.
The outspoken media figure made the comments during a recent episode of her popular podcast, Toke Moments, where she addressed long-held beliefs about cheating and challenged the narrative that infidelity is largely a male-driven issue.
According to Makinwa, women cheat more than men but are far more discreet in how they go about it, which is why their actions often go unnoticed.
She explained that, unlike men who usually need to invest significant time, money, and effort to maintain extramarital affairs, women often have easier access to opportunities that make cheating less stressful and less obvious.
Toke further revealed that this realization has influenced her personal views on relationships, stating that infidelity is no longer an automatic dealbreaker for her, although it still comes with conditions and serious conversations.
She clarified that her comments were not meant to promote or encourage cheating, but rather to highlight the realities of modern relationships and dismantle the idea that men are uniquely flawed when it comes to fidelity.
Makinwa emphasized that many women who remain faithful do so not because they lack options, but because they exercise self-control, emotional discipline, and strength of character.

“Cheating is not a dealbreaker for me but it comes with a caveat. When I say it some people think that I am encouraging cheating. No. As I grow older, I realised that it is not just men who can cheat. Why are we making these men feel so special as if it is only them?
“Do you know how easy it is for a woman to cheat? It is even easier for us. But men will spend money, efforts and time to cheat.
“But we, we are the ones receiving. It is easier for women to cheat. You know, we have work boyfriend. A woman not cheating is not because she cannot cheat, it is probably because she has one thing you lack, it is strength.
“Women cheat more, but they know how to hide it.”
Her comments have since generated mixed reactions online, with some applauding her honesty and others criticizing her stance as controversial.
