An update has emerged regarding the married woman who previously made serious allegations against the popular Afrobeats singer, Paul Okoye, widely known as Rudeboy. The incident, which drew significant attention on social media, initially saw the woman claiming that Rudeboy had allegedly raped his maid, sparking outrage online.
The woman, identified by her X handle as @chubbiedivah, posted the allegations in a now-viral tweet. Rudeboy quickly responded, vowing to pursue legal action against her for defamation, prompting widespread discussion on accountability and the dangers of false accusations on social media.

Update On Married Woman Who Defamed Rudeboy
According to recent updates shared by X user JJExckusive, the married woman fled her husband’s residence shortly after posting the allegations. She was subsequently arrested on November 6, 2025, in connection with the defamation case against Rudeboy. JJExckusive also noted that Rudeboy deliberately chose not to share details of her arrest publicly, aiming to prevent any public sympathy that might affect legal proceedings.
Within just 24 hours of her detention, the woman reportedly complained of shortness of breath and swelling in her leg, requesting medical attention. As a result, she was temporarily released on medical grounds. Since then, she has been evading her court appearances, fueling ongoing speculation and discussion on social media regarding the case’s progress.
The court initially scheduled her appearance for November 10, 2025, but she failed to attend, citing ongoing medical supervision. Another adjournment to November 17, 2025, also saw her absence, prompting further concerns about delays in the judicial process. The court has now re-fixed her appearance to December 1, 2025, emphasizing that either she or her legal representative must be present without fail to ensure the case proceeds.
JJExckusive’s post on X detailed the timeline of her court evasion, highlighting that even after being released for medical reasons, she did not return as promised, claiming continued health issues. The post has kept social media buzzing, with many users eagerly awaiting updates and speculating about the implications for both Rudeboy and the woman involved.
The development underscores the challenges of handling high-profile defamation cases in Nigeria, particularly when the accused parties attempt to evade legal proceedings. Legal experts have weighed in on the case, noting the importance of adhering to court orders and the potential consequences of repeated absences.
The case continues to attract attention, with users on social media dissecting every update, sharing opinions, and debating the merits of the allegations and the legal strategy adopted by both parties.
