Popular content creator and commentator OGB Recent has finally spoken out, offering detailed insight into why American streamer IShowSpeed allegedly snubbed Nigerian TikToker Peller on two separate occasions during his recent visit to Nigeria.
The issue, which sparked intense debate across social media, followed viral clips showing Peller making several dramatic attempts to get close to the streamer, only to be repeatedly ignored, leaving fans divided over who was truly at fault.
OGB Recent breaks his silence
Speaking on the incident, OGB Recent explained that the tension between both parties did not start during IShowSpeed’s visit but had roots in an earlier video made by Peller.
According to him, Peller had previously posted a video boldly claiming that he would deliberately ignore IShowSpeed if the streamer ever came to Nigeria, a statement that reportedly did not sit well with people around Speed’s camp.
OGB Recent noted that this earlier display may have already shaped perceptions before any physical meeting attempt was made.
What happened at IShowSpeed’s hotel
Giving a step-by-step account, OGB Recent revealed that when he arrived at the hotel where IShowSpeed was lodged, he personally approached the streamer’s security team in a calm and respectful manner.
He explained that he requested a simple photo opportunity on behalf of his “younger brother,” without initially revealing Peller’s identity.
According to him, the bouncers agreed and informed him that IShowSpeed was not around at that moment but might be available later.
IShowSpeed allegedly changes his mind
OGB Recent said that when IShowSpeed eventually appeared, he repeated the request politely, asking if his younger brother could take a photo with the streamer.
However, the situation reportedly changed instantly once Peller stepped forward and was identified as the person seeking the picture.
According to OGB Recent, IShowSpeed declined immediately after recognising Peller, leading to another failed attempt at a meeting.
He added that the bouncers later complained about someone who had earlier behaved arrogantly at the venue, boasting about his status and demanding access, an attitude they found disrespectful.
Respect played a major role – OGB Recent
OGB Recent stressed that respectful conduct was the deciding factor in the situation, stating that access to IShowSpeed was granted or withdrawn based on attitude rather than popularity.
He concluded that Peller’s own actions, including his previous video and his approach to security personnel, largely contributed to why he was allegedly snubbed twice.
He maintained that humility and proper conduct often determine opportunities in such high-profile encounters.

“There was a time Peller made a video saying that he will ignore IShowSpeed if he comes to Nigeria. Apart from that, immediately I got to the hotel where IShowSpeed was, I approached the bouncer and told him please my younger brother wants to a picture with IShowSpeed, they agreed but told me he wasn’t in. When IShowSpeed came I begged him that my younger brother wants to take a picture with him. Immediately Peller, who was posing as my younger brother, came in, Baba no gree again. Now who’s to be blamed for this. Is it IShowSpeed or Peller. Me I will blame Peller because immediately I met those bouncers, they told me that can I see how respectfully I was talking to them. That there was a guy saying that he is this, he is that. As they said Peller I say Jesus. That was before they bounce Peller the second time.”
