Social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) has launched a fierce attack on popular businessman BLord following his claim that he officially trademarked the name Ratel, describing the assertion as baseless, misleading, and nothing more than a publicity stunt.
The backlash comes after BLord reportedly issued a warning to VDM, demanding that he stop using the name Ratel and insisting that he holds exclusive ownership of the brand, adding that any public or commercial use must first receive his approval.

Reacting strongly via his Instagram page, VeryDarkMan dismissed BLord’s claims outright, questioning why no official trademark documents had been presented to back such a serious allegation.
“First things first, to show you how stupid a lot of you are and how dumb you are. Where is the certificate? Where is your acceptance letter?” VDM said.

VDM went on to express disbelief that someone he described as being knowledgeable in advertising, branding, and business processes would make such a sensitive claim publicly without providing any concrete evidence.
“I did not believe that somebody like BLord that knows about advertising, that knows about branding, will foolish himself like this,” he added.
Further clarifying the issue, VDM explained that while three names — Ratel, The Ratel, and Ratel NG were reportedly filed for trademark registration [/b]in September 2024, simply filing for a trademark does not automatically confer ownership or exclusive rights.
According to him, a trademark only becomes legally enforceable after due verification, approval, and the issuance of an official certificate by the appropriate authority.
VDM also claimed that rather than damaging his image or brand, the entire controversy has ironically given Ratel more exposure and publicity than ever before.
He maintained that if BLord’s claims were genuine, releasing the trademark certificate would immediately settle the matter, rather than issuing warnings or threats online.
The video has since generated massive reactions across social media platforms, with many users openly siding with VeryDarkMan and insisting that BLord should make the trademark documents public to validate his claims.
