In the clip shared on his page, VeryDarkman explained that he encountered the poster inside a hotel bar during his stay in the North African country. According to him, he did not expect to see the image of a Nigerian political figure displayed so prominently outside the country, especially in what appeared to be a public and commercial setting.

Seyi Tinubu.

VeryDarkman noted that although the poster was seemingly promoting the 2025 African Cup of Nations, it oddly featured Seyi Tinubu’s photograph. This, he said, raised questions about why Tinubu’s image was being used for the advertisement, especially outside Nigeria. He openly wondered whether the inclusion of the image was accidental or deliberate.

Sharing his thoughts, the influencer suggested that the poster could be a sign of early political ambition ahead of future elections. He further alleged that the development reflected desperation on the part of the APC, claiming that the party’s campaign strategy appeared excessive and far-reaching.

His words …

“Seyi Tinubu, you carry this your campaign serious o. I enter hotel for Morocco Guess who dey for the bar for Morocco. Seyi Tinubu you dey play football, APC Una carry this thing reach Morocco? Seyi na footballer? Y’all are really desperate. You dey play football? Wetin your picture dey do for here.”

@Addlinbaby said: “What APC cannot do does not exist”

@Odsonfx remarked: “If e reach your turn no work hard. Wait make you win election from social media noise”

@Kryptotajeer wrote: “This is not a political campaign, it’s clearly an advertisement! Seyi Tinubu is as popular as many celebrities, and featuring his picture prominently like that isn’t campaigning; it’s pure advertising. VDM needs to be wise enough to recognize the difference.”

The incident has since sparked debate online, with some agreeing with VeryDarkman’s concerns while others dismissed his claims, insisting the poster was purely commercial and not politically motivated. The discussion continues to trend as Nigerians weigh in on the influence of political branding beyond national borders.
