Popular activist, VeryDarkMan has stirred massive reactions and admiration online after announcing his decision to sponsor a highly talented young Nigerian boy abroad, using the $50,000 (₦[/b]75 million) gift he recently received to help nurture the boy’s exceptional abilities.
In a deeply emotional video shared on his official Instagram page, VeryDarkMan revealed that a generous benefactor had pledged to support him financially after observing the selfless humanitarian efforts he carried out during his time in China.
According to him, the promise was eventually fulfilled when the benefactor surprised him with a cash gift of $50,000, a gesture he described as both humbling and life-changing.
However, rather than focusing solely on personal gains, VDM disclosed that the money immediately reminded him of a young Nigerian boy he had encountered on Instagram several months ago.
He admitted that at the time, he skipped past the boy’s page due to his busy schedule and numerous commitments.
The situation changed when the boy’s content resurfaced recently after a friend reposted it, prompting him to take a closer look.
Upon reviewing the videos, VeryDarkMan said he was stunned by the boy’s ingenuity and raw brilliance, revealing that the young talent had successfully built a blender, a power bank, and even a projector entirely from scratch.
Moved by the display of intelligence and creativity, VDM stated emphatically, “I will not let that boy’s life or talent die like many others in Nigeria,” stressing the urgent need to support gifted minds before they are lost to neglect.
He went on to explain that he has since reached out to the boy directly and requested the involvement of his parents to ensure transparency and proper planning.
VeryDarkMan further noted that his own journey from struggle to prominence made him realize that God had placed a responsibility on him to uplift others whenever possible.
He officially pledged to sponsor the boy’s education abroad, where he believes the young genius can receive the right exposure, training, and resources needed to fully develop his skills and maximize his potential.
While clarifying that a portion of the funds would be used to settle some outstanding personal debts, VDM emphasized that investing in the boy’s future remains a top priority and a mission close to his heart.
The announcement has since sparked widespread reactions across social media, with many Nigerians praising him for choosing purpose over luxury and for using his platform to change lives.
