During the protest, VeryDarkMan addressed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu directly, condemning what he described as the federal government’s alarming silence and inaction in the face of these repeated attacks. The activist emphasized that while the nation continues to suffer, the government’s lack of urgency and responsiveness is unacceptable. VeryDarkMan’s speech aimed to amplify the voices of Nigerians demanding accountability and tangible action from their leaders.

He referenced recent violent incidents, including a disturbing video from Kwara State showing heavily armed terrorists storming a church with assault rifles, as evidence of the country’s deteriorating security situation. VeryDarkMan said: “Your country is boiling, people are dying, and just yesterday, a video came out in Kwara State of terrorists entering a church and opening fire with assault rifles. Nigeria is bleeding, and I asked a question: President Tinubu, are you still alive? If you’re still alive, bring back our girls.” His words underline the urgency of the matter and the growing impatience of citizens frustrated with repeated government inaction.

VeryDarkMan also reminded Nigerians of President Tinubu’s prior activism, noting that in 2014, he had criticized government inaction during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration. “We were happy when you became president because we thought you knew what you were doing, but apparently, you don’t,” he stated, highlighting the perceived disconnect between government leadership and the pressing needs of ordinary citizens today.

In addition to calling for the immediate rescue of the abducted schoolgirls, VeryDarkMan urged the government to take decisive steps to curb the ongoing wave of kidnappings, killings, and violent attacks, which he described as reaching “unacceptable levels.” The activist also made an impassioned appeal to Nigerian youths, encouraging them to raise their voices and take a stand in response to government failures to ensure citizen safety, emphasizing that collective action is essential in holding leaders accountable.

The protest serves as a stark reminder of the growing concern among ordinary Nigerians, particularly parents and guardians, regarding the safety of children and vulnerable communities. VeryDarkMan’s demonstration underscores a sense of urgency and the need for concrete government measures to prevent further tragedies, sending a clear message that Nigerians are no longer willing to tolerate inaction and that the security of citizens must be prioritized.
