Popular social media activist, Verydarkman has shared a disturbing account of what he described as a life-threatening encounter shortly after he returned to Nigeria from his recent trip to China.
Speaking during a live stream session that has since gone viral, he narrated how security operatives allegedly approached him at the airport, seized his international passport, and issued a chilling warning about serious danger to his life.
According to him, the incident came as a complete shock, as he had just landed and was expecting nothing out of the ordinary. He said he immediately began asking questions when his passport was taken from him without any official explanation.
“The day I landed in this country, security operatives came and seized my passport. When they took it, I thought something had happened. I asked why they were seizing my passport, but they said nothing.”
He added that he was then escorted into an office where he assumed he would be interrogated or questioned over some alleged issue. However, the conversation reportedly took a different and more frightening turn when he was told his life was in danger.
According to him, the officers informed him that intelligence reports had shown that assassins were allegedly being sent after him, and they strongly advised him to immediately seek protection from either the police, the army, or the DSS for his safety.
He further claimed that when he demanded to know who was behind the alleged plot, the officials declined to reveal any names, stating only that it involved a “group” rather than a single individual.
Verydarkman eventually received his passport back after the discussion but shocked many by rejecting the offer of security protection despite the frightening information shared with him.
“They asked again, ‘Who do you want to protect you during this period… The police, the army, or the DSS?’ I told them nobody. I will never use security. The day I go is the day I go. If I am gone today, I’m good.”
His revelation immediately sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many users expressing deep concern over his safety and urging him to reconsider his stance on personal security.
One user wrote, “VDM needs to be very careful. This story no be small thing.” Another added, “If security is warning him like this, then the threat must be real.”
Verydarkman’s refusal to accept security protection has continued to fuel debate online, as fans and followers remain divided over his decision. While some admire his bravery, others insist it is better to be cautious in a matter involving life and death.
