Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has sparked fresh debate on social media after sharing an emotional and revealing account of the financial and personal struggles she has faced in her marriage to billionaire politician Ned Nwoko.
The actress took to her Instagram Story to vent her frustrations, explaining that despite leaving her extended family to build a life with Ned, she unexpectedly found herself supporting a polygamous home in ways she never anticipated.
Opening up further, Regina Daniels disclosed that she had taken on significant financial responsibilities within her marital home—far beyond what many assumed. She revealed that she had been the one feeding and providing for her husband’s other wife, Laila Charani, as well as covering multiple household expenses.
She stated that although she had made efforts to build a cordial relationship with Laila, she found Laila’s behaviour to be manipulative and harmful, adding that she chose not to expose everything to the public despite the pressure she faced.
According to Regina, she had shouldered necessities and assisted in ways she believed would foster peace within the complex family structure, but the lack of appreciation and the ongoing drama had pushed her to speak up.
Tension with Laila and allegations of manipulation
Delving deeper into the conflict, Regina accused Laila of spreading damaging allegations about her, including claims that she might harm Laila’s daughters. She added that Ned believed these claims, an action that deeply hurt her.
Regina also mentioned that Laila had previously complained about the lack of attention and financial support from Ned, further highlighting cracks within the polygamous household.
In her lengthy rant, Regina expressed regret over the current situation and disappointment in both Laila and Ned, who she suggested has allowed public scrutiny to escalate the tension.

Her statement included a mix of frustration, honesty, and emotional exhaustion as she addressed the issues troubling her family. She made it clear that she was tired of online mockery and of constantly being portrayed unfairly.

“I comot for extended family go dey support polygamous home?? I am really mad! So it’s okay to mock me, guy.
Omo! Ned, you suppose be Odogwu… Because Munir and Khalifa’s father’s name should be a legacy like Ojukwu… But make I just break this, my second nonsense phone, because we’re all kinda too big for this rubbish online talk!”
She went on to claim that she had paid for Laila’s house, funded multiple expenses, and fed her several times—insisting that she had carried responsibilities that people know nothing about.
Regina also emphasized that she refrains from saying more only to protect her children and preserve their father’s public image, even though she feels pushed to her limits.

The actress further alleged that Ned believed harmful claims because of his own past behaviours, hinting at deeper issues within the family dynamic. She also dismissed the ongoing conversation about contributing $50,000 to Ned’s political campaign, saying she has done far more than people know.
“Everyone stop talking about $50k… If I drop wetin I don actually do, everybody go say I dey cráze o,” she said, noting that even though she considers herself “the brokest,” she is still “the richest in her small way.”
