Portable, the controversial Nigerian Afrobeats singer, has raised alarm over an individual allegedly impersonating him and performing his songs at events and on stage.
The singer took to social media to issue a strong warning, announcing that he is ready to reward anyone who identifies, arrests, and brings his lookalike to him for allegedly using his identity and music illegally.
The outspoken artiste stated that he is willing to pay a sum of ₦500,000 to anyone who catches the impersonator performing his songs publicly and hands him over to the authorities.

Portable made it clear that while people are free to copy his hairstyle, dressing, or overall appearance, performing his copyrighted music without his permission crosses the line and amounts to fraud.

He addressed fans, security agencies, and the general public, saying:
“Good morning everyone, police and soldier. If you see my lookalike performing my song on stage, arrest him and bring him to me. I will pay ₦500,000. ₦500,000 for anybody that sees my lookalike and brings him to me. Any of my lookalike that is performing my song on stage, bring him to me.”
Portable further emphasized the seriousness of the situation, insisting that the impersonator’s actions are criminal and deceptive:
“It is a scam. It’s not like you are performing your song; you are performing my song, my song that is on Apple Music. It is a scam. I’m performing my own song. Just bring him to me. I’ll give you ₦500,000 and give him to the police.”
