Controversial singer Portable has once again stirred massive reactions online after launching a fiery verbal attack on Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo over her recent comments praising single mothers.
The heated exchange followed remarks made by Iyabo Ojo, popularly known as Queen Mother, in which she suggested that single mothers are thriving and doing well despite societal pressures.[/b]
Her comments, which many fans interpreted as words of encouragement and empowerment for women raising children on their own, quickly gained attention across social media platforms.

While a large number of social media users applauded Iyabo Ojo for speaking up in support of single mothers, the statement did not go down well with the Zazu crooner, Portable.
In a now-viral rant that has continued to trend online, Portable openly criticised the actress, describing her comments as misleading and branding her a “bad example” to young women who are preparing for marriage.
The singer questioned the message being passed across to the younger generation, expressing concern that such statements could promote unhealthy lifestyle choices.

“Which advice do you even want to give to the younger ones getting married? That they should be giving birth for different men? One child for one man, three children for three different men?” he asked.
He went further to claim that married women are generally doing better than single mothers, arguing that men often take advantage of single mothers financially and emotionally.
According to him, such narratives encourage unhealthy family structures [/b]and send the wrong signals to children and young people preparing for marriage.
Portable’s blunt delivery, combined with his choice of words, quickly triggered widespread backlash online, with many users describing his comments as offensive and insensitive.
Reactions have remained sharply divided, as some social media users echoed his concerns about the influence on younger generations, while many others strongly condemned the singer for disrespecting single mothers and attacking Iyabo Ojo.
