Nigerian singer Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has spoken out about the wave of criticism he often receives online regarding his educational background.

The popular entertainer, who has built a massive following across social media, explained why he pays little attention to negative comments from trolls or people trying to belittle him.

“People call me uneducated, but look worse off…”

Opening up about the insults, Peller said:

“People will call me uneducated and an illiterate, but when I check their profile picture, it’s always the ones looking the most broke and useless.”

He noted that despite having over 13 million followers on TikTok, where he is most active, he barely uses Instagram even though his page there has 2.2 million followers. According to him, he only stays on Instagram for brand-related reasons, not personal engagement.

The singer also disclosed that although he attended Providence Primary School and Frontrunner Academy for his secondary education in Ikorodu, Lagos State, he did not further his studies beyond secondary school.

His bold statement quickly went viral, triggering various reactions among social media users. Some praised his confidence and straightforwardness, while others emphasized the importance of formal education despite fame or wealth.
