Popular TikTok streamer, Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has appealed to fans and followers for financial assistance to repair his damaged Mercedes Benz SUV, revealing that the cost of fixing the luxury vehicle has been estimated at a staggering N11 million.
The social media personality made the disclosure during a recent live session on TikTok, where he spoke openly about the financial burden he has been dealing with since the incident.
This comes weeks after Peller was involved in a controversial road crash that left the vehicle badly damaged and resulted in him being hospitalized for injuries sustained during the accident.
The incident, which occurred in December 2025, attracted nationwide attention after it happened during a live broadcast, sparking outrage, concern, and intense debate across social media platforms.
Repair cost revelation
Speaking during the live session, Peller revealed the high cost of repairs and explained why the luxury SUV has remained unfixed for weeks.
“They told me that fixing my car would cost 11 million naira. I haven’t fixed it yet because the money is too much, and I thought maybe my fans who love me can help me out. I never imagined it would cost this much.”
He further explained that the shock of the repair estimate added to the emotional stress he had already been dealing with since the crash.
According to him, the high repair bill was the major reason the vehicle had remained parked and unrepaired, adding that he only recently returned to social media after taking time off to recover emotionally and mentally from the incident.
Appeal to fans
In a direct appeal to viewers joining the livestream, the content creator urged those who could assist financially to contribute towards repairing the SUV.
He emphasized that the accident affected him beyond just physical injuries, noting that it also took a toll on his mental health and finances.
“I just want to be honest with you all. This accident has affected me mentally and financially. If anyone can support me, it will go a long way. I really need your help to get my car back on the road.”
His plea immediately sparked reactions from fans, with some expressing sympathy and offering support, while others questioned the decision to seek public donations for repairing a luxury vehicle.
Background to the crash
The crash, which Peller had previously described as deliberate, reportedly occurred along the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
The accident raised serious safety concerns and triggered widespread discussions about reckless driving, distracted driving, and the responsibilities of influencers while live-streaming.
Authorities, including the Federal Road Safety Corps and the Lagos State Police Command, have since indicated plans to prosecute him for reckless and distracted driving related to the incident.
Following public backlash, Peller issued apologies to Jarvis’ family and Nigerians at large, taking responsibility for his actions and expressing regret over the incident.
As reactions to his crowdfunding appeal continue to trend across social media platforms, opinions remain divided, with supporters calling for compassion and critics urging accountability.
