The sudden death of Odira Nwobu has thrown fans, colleagues, and the entire Nollywood community into deep mourning, as many struggle to understand what really happened to the comic actor.
Nwosa David Shares Final Moments of Odira Nwobu
In a video posted on his TikTok page, Nwosa David explained that Odira Nwobu began complaining of serious chest pain and high blood pressure while hanging out and having fun with his colleagues during his vacation in South Africa.
According to Uncle Nasco, despite the discomfort and warning signs, Odira still continued the outing. He reportedly complained again after their hangout session, showing concern about his health.
Nwosa David further claimed that Odira and his friends visited four different clubs that same night, even though he had been expressing health-related worries. The actor allegedly asked his colleagues for help with an advertisement after the club rounds, but he was unable to complete the request due to how he was feeling.
The viral video shows Uncle Nasco recounting how Odira eventually lay down to rest, but sadly became unresponsive. He reportedly defecated on himself before passing away, a detail that highlighted the severity of his medical crisis.
Odira Nwobu’s Biography
Odira Nwobu, born on 24 May 1982 in Enugu State, was a well-loved Nollywood actor known for his roles in comedy films and numerous social-media skits.
He became popular through movies like Goat Lover (2011) and later expanded his reach with frequent appearances in online comedy collaborations.
According to an unconfirmed report, his manager told BBC Pidgin that the actor had been battling high blood pressure before his trip to South Africa.
In June 2025, Odira survived a near-fatal car accident along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, an incident many fans believed he had fully recovered from.
