One half of the popular OAP and comedy duo Still Ringing has opened up in detail about how he shockingly found out that his long-time partner had secretly relocated to Canada without giving him any form of notice or hint.
According to him, the surprising discovery happened during a live broadcast, a moment he described as both confusing and emotionally draining. He explained that the truth only came to light while he was on air, interacting with listeners as usual.
As the show progressed, callers repeatedly phoned the radio station, asking questions like, “Where is Coach now?” and “Where is your interpreter?” Their concerns caught him off guard, and he tried to manage the situation by reassuring them that his partner was on the way.
Feeling pressured, he quickly switched to a commercial break to buy time and figure out what was going on.
How the Truth Came Out
During the break, he immediately called his partner to let him know that listeners were asking about his whereabouts. He expected a normal explanation, maybe even an apology for missing the show.
But instead, what he heard left him speechless. His partner calmly told him, “Let me not lie, I’m currently in Canada.”
He initially assumed it was a prank. However, after asking several follow-up questions, the reality became clear — his partner had genuinely relocated and had been keeping it a secret.
He said this revelation hit him hard because they lived in the same compound, worked together daily, and had built a strong professional relationship over the years.
“He Should Have Told Me”
The entertainer expressed deep disappointment, stating that the situation was hurtful and completely unexpected. “If he wanted to leave, he should have informed me,” he said.
He explained that he felt abandoned, especially because their joint work was a major source of income. “You can’t leave me hanging like this. I have a wife and children, and this is how we survive.”
He added that proper communication would have made the entire situation less painful. Instead, the abrupt discovery left him emotionally distressed and struggling to adjust to the sudden change.
