The singer took to his social media platforms to recount the unsettling vision, describing how the bandits in his dream had expanded their targets beyond schools and churches, now striking clubs and offices while broadcasting their violent actions. Mr Real expressed genuine worry that the events he envisioned could potentially manifest in reality, given his belief that a significant percentage of his dreams often come true.

Bandits targeting new locations

According to Mr Real, in the dream, the bandits no longer limited themselves to attacking schools or churches to kidnap victims. Instead, they were seen entering social spots such as clubs and even workplaces, executing their crimes in a brazen manner while recording or televising their actions. This expansion of targets, he said, made the dream particularly alarming and prompted him to share it publicly as a cautionary note.

He narrated, “I dreamt that these bandits entered Lagos,” emphasizing that in his vision, the attackers were now starting to target Nigerians in clubs, not just religious institutions. His account of the dream painted a vivid picture of the evolving threat posed by bandits, who in real life have caused repeated attacks across various regions of Nigeria, resulting in numerous abductions and deaths.

Dreams as warnings

Mr Real also stated that his dreams have a history of coming true, claiming that about 70% of them eventually manifest in real life: “Since I started dreaming, 70% of my dreams always come to pass.” He explained that sharing such dreams is his way of alerting the public to potential dangers and prompting authorities and citizens to exercise vigilance in vulnerable areas.

His statements have provoked a mix of reactions online, with some expressing alarm and urging proactive security measures in Lagos, while others dismissed it as a manifestation of anxiety or overactive imagination. Nevertheless, the singer’s post highlighted ongoing concerns about banditry in Nigeria, emphasizing that the nation continues to face recurring attacks and insecurity that endanger ordinary citizens in both urban and rural areas.

Social media users have since engaged extensively with his post, discussing the plausibility of the events he described and debating whether local authorities should increase monitoring and preparedness in nightlife hubs and other potential targets. Many emphasized the importance of public awareness, while some shared similar experiences and dreams, reinforcing Mr Real’s narrative in the digital space.

It is noteworthy that bandit attacks across Nigeria have previously targeted schools, marketplaces, and religious institutions, leading to heightened fear among communities. Mr Real’s dream serves as a reminder of the ongoing challenges the country faces regarding security, and the urgent need for effective intervention to protect citizens in both public and private spaces.
