Nigerian skit maker and popular social media influencer, Maraji, has stirred reactions online after openly criticizing billionaire politician Ned Nwoko over the ongoing marital drama involving him and his estranged wife, Regina Daniels. The content creator shared her thoughts in a series of posts on Instagram, taking direct aim at the senator’s recent public comments about Regina’s alleged behaviour.

According to Maraji, Ned Nwoko’s continuous attempts to justify himself publicly were unnecessary and only further highlighted the age gap and maturity difference between him and Regina. She advised him to simply move on instead of repeatedly addressing issues surrounding their marriage online.

In her criticism, Maraji referred to the senator as “grandpa,” stating that everyone had already heard his allegations and that there was no need to “go up and down explaining.”

She wrote:

“We believe you, grandpa. All these ones you’re going up and down to explain, no need. You said she drinks, smokes, and does drugs, we believe. When elders spot little children misbehaving, they will say she’s just a child, just accept it.”

Maraji further urged him to consider women within his age bracket going forward, arguing that relationships with much younger partners often come with challenges rooted in maturity differences.

She added:

“Maybe next time when you see a small child you will leave her, so she won’t bring her childish attitude to your house. When looking for a woman, look for a mature one. This one you’re going up and down to explain for what? Are you explaining to us? What do you expect to happen?”

The comedian ended her remarks by encouraging Ned Nwoko to move on, stating that there are many other options and that continuing to address the situation publicly served no purpose.

Her comments quickly went viral across social media platforms, with many Nigerians weighing in on the matter. While some supported Maraji’s take and echoed her advice on maturity and relationship dynamics, others felt she was too harsh or that she oversimplified the situation. Nonetheless, the topic has sparked wide discussions about age gaps in marriages, public accountability, and the boundaries of online commentary.
