A man [/b]who claims to have known the late Nigerian Afrofuji singer, Afeez Adeshina, popularly known as Destiny Boy, since his early years has stirred intense reactions online after alleging that the singer’s untimely death was connected to money rituals allegedly carried out by babalawos.
The shocking claim surfaced in a post currently making the rounds on social media, where the man insisted that Destiny Boy’s passing was not accidental, as many believe, but the outcome of spiritual practices he described as too dangerous for someone of the singer’s age.
According to him, Destiny Boy was introduced to certain rituals while still very young, long before he fully understood the spiritual weight and long-term consequences attached to such practices.
The man further stated that he had known the singer personally even before fame and public recognition came, adding that his claims were not based on assumptions or hearsay.
He boldly declared his readiness to provide evidence to support his allegations, challenging anyone who doubts him to come forward.
Babalawos Accused of Misleading Young Celebrities
In his narrative, the man accused some babalawos of exploiting young and ambitious individuals, especially rising celebrities, by performing powerful rituals without properly explaining the risks involved.
He claimed that these spiritual figures often prioritize financial gain over the well-being of their clients, leaving young people exposed to spiritual, emotional, and even physical consequences they are not equipped to handle.
According to him, the singer’s case is a painful example of what can happen when young people are pushed into practices they barely understand in the pursuit of quick success and wealth.
Tragic Timing of Destiny Boy’s Death
The post also emphasized the painful timing of Destiny Boy’s death, noting that the singer had just welcomed his first child shortly before passing away.
This detail, he said, made the situation even more heartbreaking, as the late singer had only just begun a new chapter of responsibility and family life.
The man strongly criticized the babalawos he accused, questioning why such heavy rituals would be performed on someone so young and newly burdened with fatherhood.
In his words:
“Not all young people who die must be pitied. Some bring it upon themselves. Discontentment has killed some people. It is not everyone we must write RIP for. Did he himself wish to rest in peace? All the spirits he conjured will not let him.
You unfortunate babalawo who did rituals for him, don’t you know this boy was too young? You should have done it for someone whose age could handle it. You see, Destiny’s death is because he ran faster than destiny.
I am not the type to come online and talk without proof. I have known Destiny for a long time, even before he came into the limelight. I say it boldly that Destiny’s problem came from you babalawos. Anyone who says I am lying should come out and challenge me, then I will bring out proofs.
It shall not be well with you, babalawo. Why are you doing strong rituals for young people, something you cannot do for yourself because of the repercussions? But once they have money, even if it is ₦10 million, they give it to you and it is fine by you, because you know you will not bear the consequences with them.
How old was he? He had just welcomed his first child for crying out loud. Now, because you want to promote tradition, you want to kill all the youth…”
