Nigerian activist and outspoken public commentator MamaPee has once again taken to social media to passionately address the persistent challenges faced by everyday Nigerians, voicing deep frustration over the country’s failing healthcare system, recurring strikes, and widespread institutional inefficiencies.
In an emotional outburst, she strongly condemned individuals who dismiss her passionate advocacy as mere “shouting,” insisting that her words are rooted in lived experiences and the harsh realities many citizens endure daily.
MamaPee condemns poor healthcare and strikes in Nigeria
While recounting the struggles of ordinary Nigerians, MamaPee highlighted the lack of access to medical professionals, unaffordable healthcare costs, and the repeated strikes that cripple public hospitals across the country.
She stressed that these systemic failures have devastating consequences, especially for vulnerable populations such as the poor, sick, and elderly.
Speaking passionately, she said: “If you never go to the hospital and you don’t have money to pay for drugs, and there’s no doctor to attend to you because they are on strike… don’t tell me I’m shouting. You don’t know how it feels to be in a system that does not work.”
MamaPee went on to explain that her outspoken nature is not driven by attention-seeking, but by frustration built from witnessing repeated injustice and suffering.
She revealed that the backlash she receives online has been overwhelming, stating that she has blocked over 5,000 people who unfairly criticized and insulted her for speaking out.
According to her, these attacks will not silence her or deter her from continuing to amplify the voices of Nigerians who feel unheard.
MamaPee emphasised that her activism is not about seeking sympathy or pity, but about calling attention to the everyday struggles Nigerians face in a country that continues to fail its citizens.
She also addressed her political stance, clarifying that her support for Peter Obi is based on personal conviction rather than obligation.
In her words, she stated clearly: “Peter obi is my hope.”
Social media reactions:
As expected, her comments triggered a wave of reactions across social media, with users expressing a mix of support, criticism, mockery, and political hostility.
@RasheedSal2: “Yaba left day call you. Obigoats and senses are enemies.”
