Popular Nollywood actress, Judy Austin, has once again made headlines by sharing advice aimed at guiding young girls on matters of love, relationships, and marriage. Speaking from personal experience and observations, the actress cautioned against rushing into matrimony solely due to pregnancy, emphasizing that such decisions often lead to long-term regret and challenges.

During a recent Instagram live session that has since gone viral, Judy addressed her followers directly, stressing the importance of self-reflection and emotional readiness before committing to marriage. She highlighted that marrying a man simply because one is pregnant is not a sound basis for such a life-altering decision.

In her own words, she stated:

“Don’t marry a man because you’re pregnant for him, you will regret it. The first question you should ask yourself is can I spend the rest of my life with this guy.”

Judy elaborated that young girls need to ask themselves difficult questions about compatibility, long-term commitment, love, and the ability to grow together with their partners. According to her, marriage is a complex institution that requires mental readiness, maturity, and the ability to navigate both joys and challenges as a couple.

She further advised that taking the time to date, learn about a person, and understand the dynamics of the relationship is crucial. “Date people, learn people, understand that you can’t trust anyone except yourself and God,” she added, stressing that personal discernment is key to making informed decisions.

Judy’s guidance also came amidst ongoing public discourse surrounding her alleged involvement in the marital issues of fellow actors Yul Edochie and May Edochie. Despite the controversies, she emphasized that her message to young girls remains about ensuring they make wise choices that safeguard their future, emotional wellbeing, and the welfare of any child involved.

She concluded by urging young women to prioritize thoughtful consideration over societal pressure, emphasizing that rushing into marriage due to pregnancy often results in regrets that could affect both the mother and child in the long run. Judy highlighted that knowing oneself and choosing wisely should take precedence over external pressures or urgent circumstances.

The actress’s advice resonates as a broader reminder of the importance of self-awareness, patience, and informed decision-making in matters of love and family planning, especially in the context of young women facing early pregnancies.
