Veteran Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has firmly debunked widespread social media rumours alleging that she was arrested by the Nigerian police.
During a TikTok live session, the actress addressed her fans directly, expressing strong displeasure over the false reports. She described the claims as fabricated, malicious, and deliberately circulated to create fear and confusion among her supporters.

Iyabo Ojo, visibly upset, called out the individuals behind the rumour, condemning their actions as harmful and unnecessary. She emphasized that spreading such misinformation only causes needless panic and distress among those who care about her.
“To you all rumour mongers that spread fake news about me, it shall not be well with you. Who did they arrest? Your fake news always makes my fans worried, and they start calling to check on me,” she stated angrily.
The actress went on to accuse the creators of the false narrative of intentionally crafting fake stories to drive traffic to their platforms and make money. She issued a stern warning to those responsible, stressing that their actions would have consequences.
“You are heaping curses on your head because I am a special being. Anyone that wishes me bad, it will go back to the sender,” she added.
This latest controversy emerges amid her ongoing feud with online critic VeryDarkMan, who is currently facing legal issues over cyberbullying allegations involving Iyabo, Tonto Dikeh, and others.
Iyabo claims that VeryDarkMan has been fabricating stories about her to gain attention and mislead the public. She also addressed recent rumours connecting her to a supposed secret WhatsApp group formed after Mohbad’s death, which VeryDarkMan alleged was suspicious.
She clarified that the group was created with the singular goal of seeking justice for the late singer Mohbad—coordinating efforts to investigate his death, push for an autopsy, and ensure he received proper burial arrangements.
Reaffirming her integrity, Iyabo stressed that her involvement in legal matters has always been transparent and strictly as a witness, not someone instigating criminal actions.
