A Nigerian man has taken to social media to lament his experience after receiving a ₦1 million alert from popular TikTok personality Peller, only for the money to be reversed moments later, leaving him devastated and confused.
The incident happened during the ongoing Africa tour of American streamer IShowSpeed, who is currently touring the continent to celebrate his 21st birthday and recently arrived in Lagos, Nigeria.
Since his arrival, IShowSpeed has been drawing massive crowds as he moves through different streets and neighbourhoods in Lagos under heavy security, attracting fans eager to catch a glimpse of the internet sensation.
According to reports, TikTok star Peller made attempts to link up with IShowSpeed for a possible collaboration during the visit. However, things did not go as planned, as he was allegedly snubbed and forcefully escorted away by Speed’s security team, an incident that sparked reactions online.
Amid the commotion, a Nigerian man was seen shouting Peller’s name repeatedly while pleading for a collaboration as IShowSpeed’s convoy passed by.
The man claimed that shortly after the encounter, he received an alert of ₦1 million, which he strongly believed was sent by Peller as a token of appreciation for calling out his name during the dramatic moment.
Overwhelmed with excitement, the man said he celebrated the unexpected windfall, assuming the money was finally his breakthrough blessing.
However, the joy was short-lived, as he later discovered that the ₦1 million had been reversed from his account, plunging him into shock and disappointment.
Taking to social media to explain his ordeal, the man shared screenshots and video clips showing the credit alert and subsequent reversal, stating that he had already emotionally accepted the money before it was taken back.
In his emotional appeal, he pleaded with Peller to look into the situation and consider resending the money, stressing that the sudden reversal had left him heartbroken.
