Emerging artist, Chidozie Godsfavour Ugochinyere, professionally known as Fave, expresses her dismay after Davido performed their song "Kante" on New Year's and omitted her verse.
Taking to her Twitter page, Fave discloses that both she and Davido were present at the event. She shares that she hugged the singer backstage before his performance began.
Expressing her disappointment, Fave reveals that it was disheartening to witness Davido perform "Kante" with her verse removed. She acknowledges that performing with Davido would have been the highlight of her year but acknowledges that life sometimes takes unexpected turns.
In her words, "Begun my new years with such a huge gag lol hugging Davido backstage as he’s about to perform, to watching him perform Kante in a new version with my verse taken off. Performing with you would have been a good way to start my year but I guess life happens. Happy nu year🤞💋"
Following some backlash from netizens, she adds, "I guess I should’ve just texted him how I felt instead of tweeting it. I forget how the internet can be sometimes."
