A passionate fan who was kicked by Burna Boy after running onto the stage during a performance has opened up about the incident, revealing his reasons for the action and explaining that he holds no grudge against the Grammy award-winning artist for his reaction.
In a video currently making rounds on X, formerly known as Twitter, the fan shared his perspective, clarifying that his intentions were purely out of admiration for Burna Boy and not to cause any harm or disruption.

The young man recounted the series of events, explaining that he had attended Burna Boyβs performance as a devoted fan and decided to run onto the stage during the event. He admitted that his actions were driven by two main reasons.
First, he wanted to express his admiration for Burna Boy by embracing him, seeing it as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to connect with the artist he deeply respects. Secondly, as an aspiring musician, he hoped to get Burna Boyβs attention and possibly gain an opportunity to showcase his talent by performing alongside the renowned artist.
Despite the unfortunate outcome of being kicked off the stage, the fan expressed his understanding of Burna Boyβs reaction, acknowledging that the singer likely acted out of caution and self-defense.
In his words: βI see my videos flying around about what happened between me and Burna Boy on stage. I didnβt mean to harm him; I just wanted to, you know, as a fan, embrace him. I didnβt know it would turn out that way.β
βFor those saying I wanted to harm him, thatβs not true. Iβm also a musician, and I just wanted to use the opportunity to ask for a chance to perform on his stage that day.β
βIβve been attending Burna Boyβs shows for a very long time. Iβm one of his biggest fans, so thatβs what happened. I feel so embarrassed, but I donβt blame him because only he knows what was on his mind at that moment.β
The video has since gone viral, generating a wave of reactions online. Social media users have taken to various platforms to share their opinions on the incident, with mixed views on the fanβs actions and Burna Boyβs response.
