Nigerian rapper and activist Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has issued a strong call for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to resign following the deadly bandits’ attack on Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Isegun, Eruku, located in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Falz made the demand in a post shared on his X handle, where he criticised the President for repeatedly failing to secure the lives and property of Nigerians amid escalating violence across the country.

Falz condemns leadership amid worsening insecurity

According to Tribune Online, the Kwara State Police Command confirmed that the attack took place around 6 p.m. on 18 November.

Security operatives, assisted by local vigilantes, eventually confronted the armed men and managed to push them back after the attack.

Eyewitnesses reported that the gunmen stormed the church during an evening service, killed at least one worshipper, and abducted several others before escaping into nearby bushes.

Falz expresses outrage over continuous killings

Reacting to the tragic incident, Falz voiced anger and exhaustion over what he described as a continuous cycle of killings, kidnappings, and government inaction.

He questioned how many more innocent citizens must lose their lives before the government takes decisive action to curb insecurity.

He wrote: “How many more people have to be kidnapped and murdered in cold blood? How many more lives do you want to waste? How many more futures do you wish to erase with your incompetence and inaction?”

Falz further accused President Tinubu of pretending to care in the past, insisting that the government has shown no real commitment to protecting Nigerians.

He concluded with a bold demand for the President to step down, stating: “You have consistently shown your unwillingness to protect the lives and property of our people despite pretending to care in the past. RESIGN NOW!”
