Popular TV host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has taken to social media to mourn the tragic loss of his colleague Francisca Owumi, expressing his deep sadness over her passing.
Gistreel reported that Francisca Owumi, the runner-up of the inaugural Big Brother Nigeria reality television show in 2006, passed away on August 29, 2024, following a brief illness.
Ebuka, her fellow season one housemate and alleged crush, took to the microblogging platform X to mourn her unfortunate demise. He described her as a true reality TV pioneer, sending prayers to her family as they go through this difficult time.
In his emotional tribute, Ebuka wrote: “Truly sad to hear about the passing of Francisca Owumi, 1st runner up in the very first season of Big Brother Nigeria in 2006. A true reality TV pioneer… My prayers are with her family as they go through what must be a difficult time. And may her soul rest in peace 🕊”
