Days after the passing of Nigerian AfroFuji singer Afeez Adeshina, popularly known as Destiny Boy, his bouncer has finally broken his silence to address widespread rumours surrounding the late singer’s lifestyle and character.
The young man, who worked closely with the singer and travelled with him for shows and events, shared emotional insights into Destiny Boy’s personality, insisting that many of the stories circulating online do not reflect who the artist truly was.
His statement has sparked renewed conversations on social media, with fans expressing grief while others praised the singer’s alleged humility and discipline.
Destiny Boy Is a Kind and Disciplined Person – Bouncer Says
In a video shared on TikTok by @olhaofficialspage1, the bouncer described Destiny Boy as “a good child and a good person to everyone,” stressing that the late musician treated people around him with respect regardless of status.
He explained that Destiny Boy was calm, well-mannered, and focused on his music career, adding that he never displayed violent or reckless behaviour.
According to him, the singer was disciplined in both his personal life and professional commitments, always ensuring that those who worked with him were comfortable and well taken care of.
Involvement with Drugs or Alcohol
The bouncer also addressed claims about Destiny Boy’s lifestyle, firmly denying allegations that the singer drank alcohol, smoked cigarettes, or used hard drugs.
He noted that because they spent long periods together — even sharing the same bed after exhausting performances — he would have known if the artist engaged in such habits.
According to him, Destiny Boy remained clean and focused, choosing rest and recovery after shows rather than partying or engaging in substance use like many people assumed.
Grief and Acceptance
Reflecting on the late singer’s sudden passing, the bouncer spoke with visible pain, describing the loss as heartbreaking not just for fans but for everyone who worked closely with him.
He said Destiny Boy’s generosity and friendly nature made people naturally drawn to him wherever he went, including fellow upcoming artists who often gathered around him for encouragement and inspiration.

“The death of Destiny Boy pained everyone. Destiny Boy is a good child and a good person to everyone. We go around and work together. We know him inside out. The things people are saying are not exactly as it is, there’s nothing like that.
Since I started following him, when we are done with shows, we sleep on the same bed. I’ve never seen him with a cigarette, not even hard drugs. What has happened, there’s nothing we can do to God about it: He understands everything.
He’s someone who is well-doing and does well for us that follow him. Anywhere we go, people want to get close to him. Even upcoming artists, the crowd is always much.”
The video has since generated thousands of reactions, with many fans thanking the bouncer for clearing the air and defending Destiny Boy’s reputation.
