Afrobeats superstar, Davido, has spoken candidly about the role his father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, played amid an ongoing paternity controversy that has continued to spark intense reactions on social media.
The singer’s remarks come after a teenage girl, Anu, publicly claimed to be his daughter and called on him to undergo a DNA test to confirm her identity.
Anu’s demand quickly went viral, drawing widespread attention and prompting debates online, with many urging clarity from both parties involved.
Adding to the controversy, Anu’s mother, Ayo Labinjoh, openly backed her daughter’s claim and accused Davido of allegedly bullying Anu and threatening her with arrest if she continued to speak out publicly.

Davido, however, has strongly denied being Anu’s biological father, insisting that multiple DNA tests have already been conducted to resolve the matter.
According to the singer, no fewer than five DNA tests were carried out at reputable medical facilities, all of which reportedly returned negative results.

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Davido revealed that his father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, was instrumental in ensuring the DNA process was followed strictly amid the paternity claim.
The music star disclosed that it was his father who insisted—and even forced—him to undergo the DNA testing to ensure absolute clarity on the matter.
Davido emphasized that the Adeleke family takes issues of lineage and blood ties very seriously, noting that his father would not hesitate to demand proof when family heritage is questioned.

The statement has since triggered mixed reactions online, with some praising the family’s insistence on transparency, while others continue to call for a peaceful resolution to the dispute.
