According to multiple reports, the “Last Last” hitmaker developed a deep emotional response after the tragic incident was discussed in detail on The Breakfast Club radio show, where the painful stories of the victims and their families were shared with listeners across the United States.

Moved by the disturbing details surrounding the loss of innocent lives, Burna Boy reportedly reached out privately to music executive Wack 100 and Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee to offer immediate financial and emotional help for the bereaved families during this unimaginably difficult period.

In an emotional statement, he said:

“When I heard about the children murdered in Stockton, my heart broke completely. No parent ever imagines having to bury their child, and no family should ever face this type of pain alone. I wanted to do whatever I could to support these parents as they begin the long, uncertain process of healing and trying to move forward.”

The singer was particularly touched by the story of 14-year-old Amari Peterson, described as a brilliant student-athlete with an outstanding 3.8 GPA, whose dreams and future ambitions were cruelly cut short by the violent incident.

Stockton Vice Mayor Jason Lee later praised Burna Boy for his compassionate humanitarian effort, describing it as “an example of how people around the world genuinely want to help, even when they’ve never met the families impacted.” He added that such acts of kindness give hope to grieving communities and remind victims’ families that they are not alone in their suffering.

The mass shooting reportedly occurred on Saturday, November 29, inside a packed banquet hall where between 100 and 150 guests had gathered to celebrate a young child’s birthday party, before the joyous occasion turned into a scene of chaos and grief.

Four young people lost their lives in the attack, while 11 others sustained various injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment, as confirmed by officials. Identified victims include eight-year-old Maya Lupian and 21-year-old Susano Archuleta, both of whom were innocent attendees at the event.

Authorities have stated that the attack may have been targeted, although investigations remain ongoing, and a $25,000 reward has now been announced for any information that leads to the arrest of those responsible.

Meanwhile, this humanitarian gesture comes at a turbulent time for Burna Boy, who is currently dealing with a wave of public controversy following his canceled Colorado concert, with reports also indicating that several upcoming shows have been canceled due to low ticket sales.
