The actress, who appeared deeply distressed over the development, took to her social media platforms to explain what she described as a painful betrayal and deliberate act of piracy against her hard work.

In a social media post, the actress alleged that an individual identified as Emmanuel Davis of Lagos Sounds took a song created specifically for the movie and falsely claimed it as his own, despite having no legal right to the soundtrack.

Bimbo shares more on alleged piracy

She explained that the song was composed by an artist named Uzor solely for the film and was never released publicly in order to prevent piracy and protect the intellectual property of everyone involved in the project.

According to Ademoye, the man allegedly went behind the scenes to upload the song online across various digital platforms, boldly claimed copyright ownership, and proceeded to file claims against her movie.

She revealed that as a result of this false claim, YouTube automatically demonetised Where Love Lives and redirected earnings to the alleged pirate, causing her financial loss and emotional distress.

The actress stressed that she would never lay claim to what does not belong to her, adding that she believes strongly in fairness and giving credit where it is due.

She further vowed to pursue the matter until the individual involved is held accountable, noting that content creators invest time, money, and passion into their work and should not be robbed by dishonest people.

Bimbo calls out another pirate

In a related development, Bimbo Ademoye also called out another alleged pirate, identified as Anwuli, accusing the person of sabotaging another one of her movie projects.

She claimed the individual’s actions caused her to lose a separate film that had already gained massive attention and over six million views online before it was affected by copyright issues.

Ademoye revealed that the individual attempted to resolve the issue privately and out of court, but she firmly declined, insisting that the case be settled legally to serve as a warning to others.
