The management of iconic Nigerian singer 2Baba has raised fresh concerns about alleged internal interference affecting his career growth and international plans, warning that developments within his personal space are beginning to spill into his professional life.
During an Instagram Live chat with media personality Daddy Freeze, members of the team opened up about what they described as repeated obstacles to crucial projects, especially those linked to expanding the artiste’s reach to global audiences and securing better international opportunities.
Concerns Over Career Disruptions
One team member stressed that for entertainers of 2Baba’s caliber, international exposure is no longer optional but necessary, noting that many Nigerian stars now explore foreign markets to ensure sustainability.
“You go out there to make your money even if it’s 100,000 people listening the money is enough to sustain you,” he said. He then added, “2Baba needs to recognise that this woman is bad for business.”
The team explained that although private matters should ordinarily remain personal, they could no longer ignore what they see as ongoing professional setbacks allegedly linked to the singer’s relationship.
When questioned about whether the influence extended beyond the woman herself to her family, the team declined to go into details, simply stating, “We don’t want to talk about family… this thing is deeper than what we’re seeing online.”
Team Shares Troubling Experiences
One management member described unsettling moments within the singer’s home, hinting that certain experiences have been emotionally disturbing.
“I’ve entered into their bedroom and seen things I’m not meant to see. Daddy Freeze, I need therapy with what I’ve seen,” he revealed, suggesting that the internal environment was far from healthy.
He added that despite everything, the management has continued to work tirelessly to build and protect 2Baba’s legacy over the years.
Halted International Plans
Another member recounted the long-standing vision for the singer’s career and how the goal had always been to elevate him to the level of respected global African music icons.
“When I started working with 2Baba, my aim was for him to be larger. You can’t compare yourself to Burna Boy, but you can achieve what Angélique Kidjo has done. You can still do arenas,” he said.
According to the team, plans had already been put in motion for a major international expansion, including a UK tour, an African tour, stadium shows, and state-backed performances across at least five countries.
However, they alleged that all these plans were abruptly suspended. “But Natasha came and said no. We’re stamping everything down. We can’t move,” the management claimed.
They concluded by urging fans and stakeholders to understand the bigger picture, insisting that their concerns were not personal attacks but genuine worries about the future of a music legend they have worked with for years.
