Nigerian content creator and social media influencer, Ashmusy, has recently come under scrutiny following allegations that she misrepresented ownership of a luxurious property in Lekki.
The influencer had previously shared news of the completion of a four‑duplex property, taking to social media to celebrate what she described as the fruit of her hard work and determination. She portrayed the property as her own, drawing attention from fans and followers who congratulated her on the achievement.

Ashmusy called out over alleged false house ownership claim
The situation took a controversial turn when a realtor, identified on Instagram as @superblachomes, publicly challenged Ashmusy’s claim, stating that the property was not acquired by her and is currently listed for sale. The post read: “Ignore the lies. This property was never acquired by your fave and is still very much available for sale.”
The allegations have sparked discussions across social media platforms, with many netizens weighing in on the claim. While some questioned the authenticity of Ashmusy’s ownership claim, others suggested possible misunderstandings regarding the influencer’s involvement in the project.
Reacting to the controversy, an Instagram user, Time Stella, commented: “I don’t think she meant that she owns it. There is a place she wrote my business partner. I thought she’s a realtor, maybe she was managing the project then. My take though.”
Another follower, Chiamaka Edeh, added: “Abeg make una no vex. Maybe I don’t understand that post but I didn’t see where she said she owns the building.”
Meanwhile, Princess reflected on the pressures of social media: “Social media will oppress you, but no panic 🤣🤣. Reason I don’t envy anything online.”
As of now, Ashmusy has not publicly addressed the claims, leaving her fans and critics to debate the matter online. The incident highlights the intense scrutiny influencers face regarding their lifestyle portrayals and property ownership claims on social media.
