Former Niger Delta militant leader Asari Dokubo has issued a bold and uncompromising declaration about how he intends to respond if bandits or terrorist groups attempt to infiltrate Port Harcourt. His comments come at a time when insecurity continues to escalate across Nigeria, with communities in multiple states facing repeated attacks, kidnappings, and killings.
In a recent video shared on social media, Asari Dokubo spoke passionately about the deteriorating security situation and made it clear that he would personally take action to defend Port Harcourt should terrorists try to enter the region.

Nigeria insecurity problem
Insecurity has become one of the most pressing challenges in Nigeria today, with bandits, insurgents, and various armed groups attacking villages, highways, and communities. The situation has created widespread fear, disrupted daily life, and raised concerns both locally and internationally about the nation's ability to protect citizens.
From kidnappings for ransom to deadly ambushes, the wave of violence continues to spread, leaving many Nigerians anxious about the future. Security agencies have been stretched thin, and ordinary citizens increasingly fear that danger could strike anywhere, at any time.
Asari Dokubo issues warning
Reacting to the severity of the crisis, Asari Dokubo issued a stern warning to anyone planning to cause trouble in Port Harcourt. He stated that he would not hesitate to confront and eliminate any terrorist or bandit who dares to bring violence into the city.
According to him, his only focus in such a scenario would be to “take out” those responsible without second thoughts. He emphasized that his religion would not influence his response, stressing that anyone who comes to attack him or his territory would face decisive resistance.
His words read …
“If Bo.ko Ha.r..am come Port Harcourt e no say my business na kiill them. This thing I’m telling you, it’s raw o. If you come fight me, I go kiiill you. If you come fight me because I am a Muslim I will kiiill you. No compromise.”
His remarks have sparked discussions online, with some Nigerians applauding his confidence and others calling for a more structured and collaborative security approach rather than individual threats.
