Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has ignited fresh political conversations online after publicly throwing her weight behind former Abia State governor and current senator, Orji Uzor Kalu, following his recent remarks about the performance of Abia State Governor, Alex Otti.[/b]
The controversy erupted after Senator Orji Uzor Kalu accused Governor Alex Otti of being largely inactive since assuming office, alleging that the present administration has not embarked on any significant infrastructural projects across the state.

According to Orji Uzor Kalu, the only visible works carried out by the current government involve repainting and refurbishing roads that were constructed during his tenure as governor. He insisted that no new roads or landmark projects have been initiated under Governor Otti’s leadership.
Reacting to the claims, Doris Ogala took to her Instagram page to openly defend Orji Uzor Kalu, whom she referred to as her boss. She backed his statements, insisting that his comments were factual and grounded in reality.
In her words, she said:
“What my boss, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, said about Governor Alex Otti is true. Alex Otti is only repainting roads that were originally built by Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.”
The actress further maintained that the roads currently being showcased and celebrated by the present Abia State administration were actually constructed during Orji Uzor Kalu’s time in office, stressing that credit should be given where it is due.
Her remarks quickly gained traction online, sparking heated debates among social media users. While some applauded her for speaking what they described as the truth, others criticised her for allegedly undermining the efforts of the current administration and politicising governance.
