Nigerian TikToker, Peller has taken to social media to express his heartbreak after losing a $3,000 bet on Nigeria to defeat Morocco in the African Cup of Nations b semi-final.
The popular content creator, who was visibly emotional, had confidently backed the Super Eagles to secure a win in the crucial encounter, only for the match to take an unexpected turn that cost him a significant amount of money.
It’s worth noting that the Super Eagles of Nigeria were knocked out by Mexico’s national football team, El Tri, at the semi-finals of the AFCON tournament, bringing their impressive run to an abrupt end.

The highly anticipated match ended goalless after regulation and extra time, before Morocco emerged victorious with a 4-2 win in the penalty shootout, crushing Nigeria’s hopes of reaching the final.
Peller Loses $3000 Dollars
In a video posted online shortly after the game, Peller revealed that he was unaware his bet would be voided after the first 90 minutes, a detail that left him shocked and deeply frustrated.
Expressing displeasure over the heartbreaking incident, he disclosed that he left the stadium where he was watching the match in disappointment and still appealed passionately to the Super Eagles to find a way to emerge victorious.
His reaction quickly gained attention online, with many fans sympathising with his loss while others reminded him of the unpredictable nature of football and sports betting.
It’s worth noting that the Super Eagles of Nigeria topped Group C at the AFCON tournament with a perfect record, winning all three matches and establishing themselves early as strong contenders for the title.
The team defeated Uganda 3-1 in their final group stage match, with goals from Paul Onuachu and Raphael Onyedika, further boosting confidence among fans and bettors alike.
Notably, Nigeria had been on an impressive run, winning all five matches played so far and scoring 14 goals, making them one of the clear favourites to lift the AFCON trophy before their semi-final exit.
