Album: Children of Africa EP by Seyi Vibez

Nigeria hit maker, Seyi Vibez released a brand new project titled "Children of Africa" EP.

No one can quite predict what Seyi Vibez will do next. Whether setting the plays for an undeniable club hit on “Giza” or pondering the redemptive power of his mother’s love on the Ami Faku-featuring “LOML”, the Ikorodu singer is as enigmatic as he is unclassifiable. In 2024, with the exception of a collaborative label album, Vibez Incorporation Mixtape, Vol. 1/, and the birthday-celebrating release of Loseyi Professor, the street-pop star did not put out any solo work, a stark contrast to the prolific streak he had maintained since 2022’s Billion Dollar Baby announced him as a star.

On 2025’s Children of Africa, Seyi Vibez makes a swaggering return to the Afropop arena while delivering a reminder of his nimble mastery of melodies. Across four songs, the street-pop star makes his best attempt to convince us that he is living his best life. There are numerous references to his material success, his jet-set lifestyle and the pieces of jewellery he has accumulated, as well as chest-thumping warnings for his opps. Constant creative partners TBM and Dibs miss out on this set, with production handled here by larrylanes and Semzi. American rapper NLE Choppa joins for a braggadocious celebration on “MACHO”, and Seyi Vibez delivers a fiery anthem for his street supporters on “SHAOLIN”. Things come to a head on “HAPPY SONG”, a delicate reminder to embrace joy in defiance of the struggles that may occur in our day-to-day lives.
