About IGqumelasha – Ize Leze Album

IGqumelasha and UKhoz'olumpunga join forces on Ize Leze, an album rooted in South African musical traditions and lyrical storytelling. The collaboration brings the artists together through expressive vocals, traditional rhythms, and musical arrangements associated with the Maskandi scene.

Across Ize Leze, the artists use storytelling to explore experiences drawn from everyday life, relationships, and social interactions. Their collaboration places the focus on lyrical expression and cultural influences, connecting the songs with themes that resonate with listeners familiar with traditional South African music.

With Ize Leze, IGqumelasha and ukhoz'olumpunga present a joint album centred on storytelling and cultural expression. The project brings their contributions together in a collection that reflects the enduring role of traditional music in sharing experiences and perspectives.
