The project arrives as a collaboration between Erigga, one of Nigeria's most recognizable street-conscious rappers, and EESKAY, an emerging artist bringing a younger perspective to the project. The title North & South immediately points toward the idea of bringing different geographical and cultural experiences together.

The project was announced in 2026 as a joint EP between Erigga and EESKAY, with coverage describing it as a meeting point between Erigga's established storytelling style and EESKAY's emerging voice.
